Latest Updates: BMW Motorrad has launched the M 1000 RR in India, available at an ex-showroom price of ₹49 lakh. Furthermore, they have unveiled the Competition version of the motorcycle, which comes with an ex-showroom price of ₹55 lakh.

Bookings are now open for both models, allowing customers to secure their M 1000 RR and M 1000 RR Competition. The M 1000 RR, a track-focused powerhouse derived from the S 1000 RR, proudly claims the title of the first production superbike to feature the prestigious 'M' emblem.

The flagship motorcycle that was recently introduced comes equipped with brand-new carbon fiber winglets positioned at the front. These winglets have been ingeniously designed to provide improved downforce on the front wheel, even while leaning, resulting in a remarkable 6.3 kg increase. When the bike reaches a speed of 300 kmph, these winglets generate an impressive 22.6 kg of downward force.

Underneath its sleek exterior, the motorcycle houses a potent 999 cc four-cylinder engine, benefitting from a combination of water and oil cooling systems. Employing the advanced BMW ShiftCam technology and equipped with four titanium valves per cylinder, this formidable engine delivers an impressive power output of 209 bhp at 14,500 rpm, accompanied by a peak torque of 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm. Mated with a precise 6-speed gearbox, the BMW M 1000 RR exhibits exceptional performance, reaching a top speed of 306 kmph and achieving a swift 0 to 100 kmph acceleration in approximately 3.1 seconds.

For optimal handling, the motorcycle features 45 mm upside-down forks in the front suspension and a monoshock in the rear suspension. Both can be customized to adjust compression and rebound, offering a personalized riding experience. Adding to its performance, BMW Motorrad has integrated 17-inch carbon wheels and an aluminum swingarm into the bike's design. The front tire has a size of 120/70, while the rear tire measures 200/55. To ensure reliable braking, the motorcycle is equipped with twin 320 mm discs at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear. Additionally, it offers a range of ABS modes and riding modes, catering to different riding conditions and rider preferences.

The M 1000 RR is packed with an impressive lineup of features that elevate the riding experience. These include advanced functionalities like launch control, wheelie control, slide control, dynamic brake control, and shift assist pro. Additionally, it offers a user-friendly 6.5-inch TFT screen, energy-efficient LED lighting, comfortable heated grips, convenient cruise control, and reliable traction control.

Furthermore, the M Competition package takes the M 1000 RR to greater heights with remarkable upgrades. These include an M GPS lap trigger for precise performance tracking, M Aero wheel covers for enhanced aerodynamics, a rear wheel swinging arm that is anodized and lighter by 220 g, offering maintenance-free convenience, and an M Endurance chain coated with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) for increased durability and longevity.

In addition, customers can opt for the new carbon package, which highlights visible carbon components with a clear coat, adding a touch of elegance. There is also the M Billet pack, featuring a lighter M footrest that helps reduce the overall weight by 150 g. Furthermore, the M Billet pack includes the choice of a carbon passenger seat cover or a Passenger package for added convenience and style.
