Fatal Consequences of Mumbai's Heavy Rainfall: One Life Lost

Mumbai: Intense rainfall in Mumbai led to severe flooding, resulting in the closure of Andheri subway, according to city officials. Sadly, a man lost his life when a tree fell in Malad. While local train services were mostly unaffected, there were minor delays. Despite the heavy rainfall, the BMC plans to implement a 10% reduction in water supply starting from July 1 due to critically low water reserves. Municipal authorities assessed the situation at various locations, including the Mithi river bank and the ongoing construction of the coastal road. In Thane, a woman sustained injuries in a chawl collapse, while a protection wall in a housing society collapsed without causing harm to anyone.
